DBS is a Field Paint Only facility. This means we only allow paintballs purchased from DBS to be used at our location.

We used to offer the BYOP FEE to accommodate those that had other brands we didn’t carry that wanted to use that paint at our Big Games and during recball play.

With that said, many people try avoiding the BYOP FEE and it’s a pain to track and a major pain for basically everyone else…

It is a pain for our staff to have to enforce. Plus, I don’t want them to have to. They shouldn’t have to worry about it. We want to focus on delivering a 6-Star Experience, not this.

Most people bringing outside paint are doing it to bring low quality, non PEG fill paint to the facility. This paint does not clean well, and makes the bunkers sticky and nasty. We don’t want our guests experiencing that, or to have to spend extra time cleaning it up (it cost us more than the old $20 BYOP FEE).

With our DBS Field Ball we do our best to have two “formulas” (or more) in stock at all times. Yes, we have a specific winter ball, a specific “field ball” (more brittle in winter, harder in summer, perfect between those seasons), and a summer ball. We do this so that we always have an option that will work well for folks. This also allows us that if someone buys a formula and is breaking paint that we can simply swap them out for a different formulation. This ensures a higher quality visit.

Numerous times last year Ikuto and I spent time trying to scrub low quality paint off the airball bunkers…. Not worth it.

We also dispose of a lot of the paint. On the recball fields the paint builds up on the back lines, and as many of you will see the paint builds up on the “paint” side of the bunker. We dispose of that. We also clean the paint off the turf fields regularly.
For those concerned with the cost of field paint, we do offer our membership program which gets you free entry and air fills to the Open Sessions, but also gets you a great discount on the field ball.

For those that play super regularly and are interested in being an ambassador or sponsored player feel free to reach out for more information. Membership is still required for ambassadors & sponsored players, but we do extend a further discount to those within that program, and we do require that you play super regularly and / or promote paintball and DBS.

I want to thank everyone for helping make the park what it is. We’ve got a killer community. The rest of the team & I at DBS plan on continuing to improve the property and continuing to reinvest into things like new bunkers for both recball and airball, the building that’s going up that will dramatically improve some behind the scene things, and so much more.
